Connected Investors
How to see who you are investing alongside
On Play Money, you can see which other investors are connected to the same deals as you.
What Are Connected Investors?
Connected investors are other people on the platform who share a connection with you — typically through investing in the same deals, belonging to the same communities, or being part of the same network. Seeing who else is involved provides valuable social context and helps build trust.
Where You Will See Them
On Deal Pages
The Connected Investors section shows other investors you know who have viewed or invested in the same deal. This helps you see if people in your network are interested.
In Your Insights
The Top Co-Investors visualization shows a network graph of investors who have invested in the same deals as you — helping you discover similar investors.
What You Can See About Them
For each connected investor, you can typically see:
- Name and avatar — Their profile photo and name
- Headline — A brief description if they have added one
- Shared deals — The deals you have in common
You can click on a connected investor to view their public profile, where you can see more about their background, companies they have invested in, and achievements.
Common Questions
Can I hide my connection from others? Your public profile shows the companies you have invested in, which is how connections are determined. You can hide specific companies from your profile page. See Your Profile.
Can I connect with investors directly? Currently, Play Money does not have direct messaging. You can view profiles and see LinkedIn links if provided. The Q&A section on deal pages is also a way to engage with other investors.
Why do I not see any connected investors on a deal? The section only appears when there are investors you are connected to who are also associated with that deal. If no one in your network has viewed or invested, the section will not appear.
