Your public profile and achievements on Play Money
Your profile is how other investors on Play Money see you. You can also earn achievements as you invest.
Your Public Profile
Your public profile page shows other investors who you are. It includes:
- Name and avatar — Your profile photo and full name
- Headline — A short description of yourself, if you have added one
- LinkedIn — A link to your LinkedIn profile, if provided
- Portfolio companies — The companies you have invested in, displayed as a visual grid
- Investor quotes — Any investing reasons or quotes you have shared on deals
- Achievements — Badges you have earned through your activity
Viewing Your Profile
You can view your own profile in two ways:
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner and select "My Profile" from the user menu
- Click "View Profile" from your account settings page
Achievements
Play Money has an achievement system that rewards you for participating on the platform. Earn badges as you invest, refer friends, complete your profile, and explore.
Achievements are organized into paths — the Angel path tracks investment milestones, while other paths reward community participation, referrals, and profile completion.

Build a diversified portfolio across multiple deals.
Spotlight Ready
Complete your profile photo and LinkedIn URL.
Each achievement has a progress indicator showing how close you are to earning it. Earned badges appear in full color on your profile, while unearned badges are shown in grayscale.
Profile Visibility
- Your name, avatar, and headline
- Your LinkedIn URL (if provided)
- The companies you have invested in (unless you have hidden them)
- Your investor quotes and reasons for investing
- Your earned achievements
- Your investment amounts
- Your payment details and bank accounts
- Your personal contact information (email, phone)
- Your identity verification details
- Your investment profile details (entity information, tax details)
Hiding Companies
If you prefer not to show a specific investment on your public profile, you can hide individual companies. On your profile page, look for the visibility settings that allow you to manage which companies appear.
Common Questions
Can I make my profile completely private? Your basic profile (name and avatar) is visible to other investors. However, you can control what else appears by managing your headline, LinkedIn link, and company visibility. Investment amounts and personal details are never shown.
How do I earn achievements? Achievements are earned automatically as you complete specific actions. You do not need to manually claim them. When you earn a new one, you will see a celebration on the platform.
Can I see other people's profiles? Yes. Click on an investor's name or avatar on deal pages, in the Connected Investors section, or on the Insights page.
What is the Spotlight Ready achievement? It is earned by adding a profile photo and your LinkedIn URL, signaling that your profile is complete. Complete these fields in your profile settings.
