Investment Statuses
What each investment status means and what you should do
Your investment moves through several statuses as it progresses from commitment to fully funded. Here is what each one means.
How Statuses Work
Every investment has a main status that tells you where it is in the overall process. Some statuses also have a more specific status detail that tells you exactly what is happening at that moment.
Status Overview
Committed
Your commitment has been received. The platform is preparing to collect your payment.
Pending
Your investment is actively being processed. Payment has been initiated or is in transit.
Funded
Fully funded. Your money has been received and you are officially an investor.
Cancelled
Your investment was cancelled. If payment had not been collected, no money was taken.
Committed
Your investment commitment has been received. The platform is preparing to collect your payment. This is the first status you see after clicking "Invest."
At this stage, the system may be waiting for the deal's SPV to open before it can proceed with payment. Once everything is ready, payment processing begins automatically.
Awaiting SPV Open
The deal is not yet ready to accept payments. No action is needed from you — your investment will be processed automatically once the deal opens.
Pending
Your investment is actively being processed. This means payment has been initiated or is in transit.
Status Details
Your payment has been initiated and is being processed. For bank transfers (ACH), this typically takes 1-3 business days. No action is needed.
You chose wire transfer and the platform is waiting for your wire to arrive. Make sure you have sent the wire using the exact instructions provided in the portal. See Wire Transfers.
Your payment could not be processed due to insufficient funds. The platform will automatically retry — make sure your bank account has enough funds before the next attempt. You will receive an email with the retry date.
Your payment could not be processed and automatic retries have been exhausted, or the failure is permanent. Contact support to resolve the issue. See Payment Issues.
There is an outstanding balance, usually after an investment amount adjustment. The platform will automatically initiate collection once your payment method is ready.
Funded
Your investment is fully funded. Your money has been received and you are officially an investor in this company. Once the funding close is settled, your subscription agreement will become available in your documents.
Cancelled
Your investment was cancelled. If payment had not yet been collected, no money was taken. If a payment was in progress, it will be stopped.
Refunded
Your investment was funded but the money has been returned to you. This can happen if you request a withdrawal, the deal is cancelled after funding, or the admin team initiates a refund on your behalf.
Common Questions
Why is my investment still in "Committed"? The most common reason is that the deal's SPV has not yet opened. Once it does, the system will automatically begin processing your payment.
How long does each status last?
- Committed: Usually very brief (minutes), unless the SPV is not yet open
- Pending: Depends on your payment method. ACH takes 1-3 business days. Wire transfers depend on when you send the wire
- Funded: This is the final state — your investment is complete
