Understanding a Deal Page

A guide to every section of a deal detail page

Each deal has its own page with everything you need to evaluate the opportunity. Here is what you will find.

Deal Header

At the top of every deal page, you will see the company name, logo, a brief description, and category tags (such as "Climate Tech" or "AI"). If the deal is connected to any communities, those are shown here as well. The header also includes:

  • Follow button — Save this deal to stay updated on its progress. See Following a Deal
  • Share button — Share the deal with others via a link

The Invest Button

On the right side of the page (or at the bottom on mobile), you will find the investment action area. Depending on the deal's status and your relationship with it, you will see one of the following:

ButtonMeaning
"Invest"The deal is open and you can invest right now. Opens the investment wizard
"Request Access"The deal requires an invitation. Click to submit an access request
"View Investment"You have already invested. You can see your details and request an increase
"Closed"The deal is no longer accepting investments. You can still follow it for updates

The investment area also shows key terms like the minimum investment amount, deal structure, and any relevant deadlines.

Use Casey, the AI assistant, to get quick answers about any deal. Casey has read all the deal materials and can help you evaluate the opportunity.

Common Questions

Can I share a deal with someone? Yes. Use the Share button in the deal header to copy a link. If the person you share it with does not have a Play Money account, they will be prompted to sign up before viewing the full deal details.

What if I have questions about the company? Use the Q&A section at the bottom of the deal page to ask questions. You can also use Casey, the AI assistant, to get quick answers based on the deal information.

Why can I not see certain sections? Some sections — like Traction, Videos, and detailed Documents — are only available for deals where the company has provided that information. Not every deal includes all sections.

I invested but want to invest more. Can I? Yes. If you have already invested in a deal, you will see an option to increase your investment on the deal page. Click the increase button to add to your existing commitment.
