How the referral program works and how to refer friends

You can invite friends to join Play Money and earn rewards when they sign up and invest.

How It Works

Get your referral link

Find your unique referral link on the Referrals page — click your avatar and select "Referrals" or "Earn 0% Carry" from the user menu.

Share it

Share with friends, colleagues, or anyone who might be interested in angel investing — via LinkedIn, Twitter, WhatsApp, email, or any other channel.

They sign up and invest

When they create an account and make their first investment through your link, you both earn a reward.

You both earn carry credits

Both you and the person you referred receive a carry credit — reducing the carry share on a future investment.

You (the referrer)

Earn a carry credit — 0% carry on a future investment. Keep 100% of your investor share of profits.

Your friend (the referred)

They also earn a carry credit — 0% carry on their investment. A great start for new investors.

The Referrals page gives you a complete view of your referral activity:

Total Clicks

How many times your referral link has been clicked.

Total Signups

How many people have created accounts through your link.

Conversion Rate

The percentage of clicks that resulted in signups.

Carry Credits Earned

The total number of carry credits earned from referrals.

The page also includes detailed tables showing referral signups, earned carry credits, and referral clicks (with UTM tracking if configured).

You can add UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign, content, term) to your referral link to track where your clicks are coming from.

Is there a limit to how many people I can refer? No. Each successful referral (signup + investment) earns both of you a carry credit.

When do I receive my reward? You earn a carry credit when the person you referred makes their first investment.

Can I refer someone who already has an account? No. The referral link is for new signups only.

Do referral credits stack? Yes. If you refer multiple people, you earn a credit for each. Credits can be used on separate investments.

Can I share my referral link on social media? Absolutely. Share it anywhere — social media, email, messaging apps, or in person.
